GCHE Activity Rules
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” – Hebrews 10:24
We have a wonderful friendly homeschool group that loves each other and loves the LORD. We represent Christ and in so doing, we must always strive to teach our children to behave in a manner that honors our LORD. Our reputation as Home Educators and as Christians is very important. With this in mind, the following rules for all GCHE activities have been adopted by the GCHE Board members. You may want to check off the rules as you read them together as a family. These rules apply to everyone.
Must be a GCHE member in good standing.
- Limited to homeschooled children.
- Must read and agree to obey all the rules.
- Must sign the membership application stating agreement.
Attendance:
- RSVP by deadline. Cancel if unable to attend.
- Be on time and be prepared.
- NO Drop-offs. A parent should always be present on site. With pre-approval and proper notification, another adult (member of GCHE) or an adult sibling may take responsibility.
- Family units should stay and learn together. Children should be supervised at all times.
- Insurance and transportation are each parent’s responsibility.
- GCHE does not provide group liability or accident insurance.
- Parents will accept all responsibility and assume all risks and hazards incidental to GCHE sponsored activities.

Discipline:
- Parents should correct or discipline their children privately. If they do not, another adult may take action.
- Disobedience of the rules may require that a person be sent home from an activity.
- A person may be put on probation for repetitive and/or severe violations.
- If disobedience and/or lack of discipline become a consistent problem, a family will lose its membership privileges.
- Please remember that action toward one person will affect your whole family.
- The GCHE Board and Executive Advisory Board have complete discretion and final authority.
- Any disciplinary action will be handled in a firm, but loving and edifying manner.

If in doubt….apply the best rules….from the Bible, God’s Word.
Abstain from all appearance of evil. - 1 Thessalonians 5:22
Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. – 1 Corinthians 10:24
Do not cause anyone to stumble… - 1 Corinthians 10:32
…whatsoever is true, whatsoever is noble, whatsoever is right, whatsoever is pure, whatsoever is lovely, whatsoever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. – Philippians 4:8,9
We believe these regulations clearly communicate the values embraced by GCHE. Let us use these rules as an opportunity to renew our commitment to excellence in home education and to each other. Please have all members of your family sign below to show they have read and agree to comply with these rules. You may keep this paper for reference.
